Dr. Sheahan, the owner of Gettysburg Chiropractic, graduated with highest honors from Mt. St. Mary’s College, with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. After college, he married and moved to Davenport, Iowa where he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 1989. While at Palmer, he received numerous academic awards, including graduating as Class Salutatorian and being named an Academic All-American.
After moving to Gettysburg in 1989, Dr. Sheahan worked for a year at Chiropractic Associates, until which time he purchased the practice and renamed it Gettysburg Chiropractic. In 1995 he decided to further his education and began his work on a post-doctoral degree in Chiropractic Neurology. In 1999, he completed his neurology education and testing and achieved Diplomate status as a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist.
Dr. Sheahan lives near Gettysburg with his wife, Jessica. They have three grown children, two still in the area and one living in Portland, Oregon. When he’s not working, you can usually find him running in the woods of Michaux Forest, as he is an avid trail runner. He has completed dozens of marathon and ultra marathon races including the 50 mile JFK Ultra Marathon and running 126 miles at The Sole Challenge 24 Hour Ultra Endurance Race.
